Dropout Crisis: Challenges & Solutions- Student Web Dialogue

Fresno youth leaders are organizing a statewide Web Dialogue to engage students to identify real solutions for California’s dropout crisis. See the message below and the attached flyer, and forward these to your networks. There will be Youth Graduation Empowerment Summits in 5 other cities, based on the success of our Youth Summit in January. The ideas that emerge from these Summits and the Web Dialogue will be presented at a YGEP Summit in Sacramento on June 14-16.

How often do students have an opportunity to participate in a civic engagement project on an issue that directly affects them? All they do is register online and have access to the internet at any time during the four days of the Web Dialogue

and identify real solutions for California’s dropout crisis.
The YGEP is a statewide coalition of youth serving organizations
working to improve California’s education system by infusing youth voice
and civic engagement into public policy making.
